Meet Rebecca

Hi, I’m Rebecca, a self-taught artist, a proud mom, and a lover of life’s beautiful moments. My roots are a colorful mix of Italian, Ethiopian, Greek, and Armenian, and I love how this blend of cultures inspires me every day.

I’m fluent in several languages, which makes connecting with people from all walks of life feel natural. Traveling is one of my greatest joys—I love discovering new places, embracing different traditions, and meeting incredible people along the way.

Painting with acrylics is where my heart feels most at home. Beyond art, I’ve also dedicated myself to holistic wellness. I’m a practitioner of alternative therapies, an NLP coach, and I’m wrapping up my final year in Holistic Nutrition and Micronutrition—a journey that’s helped me see life as a beautiful balance of mind, body, and soul.

As a mom, I’ve learned to find joy in the little things—quiet sunrise walks, stunning sunsets, and losing myself in the music when I dance. Whether it’s salsa, bachata, or kizomba, dancing fills my heart with energy and happiness.

I’m all about creating, exploring, and celebrating the beauty in life. I’d love for you to join me on this journey—let’s discover the world together through art

My Story

How did you get started as a self-taught artist?

I’ve always loved art—it’s something that’s been with me for as long as I can remember. During COVID, I found myself in a situation where I couldn’t buy any traditional materials because I was traveling in a van in Australia. The only way I could continue creating was digitally. So, I launched my "Ciaoo Cacaoo Illustration" page, and that’s when everything really took off. From there, I embraced the digital world of art, and it sparked the beginning of my journey as an artist.

What inspires your acrylic paintings?

In 2019, I was traveling through Australia and went through a very hard breakup while staying in a town far from any city, where I had to work to buy my van. I was all alone, with no one I knew. I was so sad and lonely that the only thing I could do to occupy myself was art. My brother noticed that when I was sad, my art became very expressive and deep. So, I believe that emotions are what inspire my art. I don’t paint every day, but on certain days, I know I absolutely have to create something because I’ve experienced something emotionally intense that I need to express.

What led you to pursue holistic wellness and alternative therapies?

What inspired you to dive into alternative therapies?

After Covid and the challenges of family life, I found myself unable to see life the same way as before. I knew I needed a change in perspective and sought help to make that shift. When I realized how much alternative therapies helped me, I immediately knew I wanted to help others change their perspective and their vision of life. It became a calling for me to guide people through similar transformations.

The Brand

The name "Ciaoo Cacaoo" is a reflection of my multicultural heritage. "Ciaoo" is an Italian greeting, and "Cacaoo" is a playful twist on "cacao," the bean used to make chocolate. It’s a celebration of my Italian-Ethiopian roots.

As Ciaoo Cacaoo has grown, I’ve expanded into hosting "Cocktail and Paint Events" fun way for people to enjoy art while socialising. It’s a natural extension of my passion for painting and my desire to share that joy with others.

I’m excited to continue growing Ciaoo Cacaoo, exploring new creative avenues, and pushing the boundaries of my art to bring fresh, inspiring experiences to the community.
